What we collect and why
- When you contact us. If you email us, we receive your name, email address and whatever you choose to tell us about your company and games. We use it to answer you and follow up the conversation. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries, or steps taken at your request before entering into an agreement (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) and 6(1)(b)).
- When you book a meeting. Meetings are booked through Calendly. Calendly collects your name, email address and any answers you give when booking, and shares them with us so we can hold the meeting. Calendly’s privacy policy applies to its service.
- Analytics. If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time. See the cookie section below.
We do not sell personal data and do not use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep correspondence for as long as it is needed for the business relationship and to meet our bookkeeping and legal obligations, and delete it when it is no longer needed. Google Analytics data is kept for no longer than 14 months.
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, ask us to restrict processing, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and receive your data in a portable format. Email hello@serotoningames.no. If you believe we process your personal data unlawfully, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work. Others help us understand how the site is used. Under the Norwegian Electronic Communications Act, we only set cookies that are not strictly necessary if you have agreed to them.

Visitors who do not log in only receive the Google Analytics cookies, and only if they accept analytics. The WordPress and Wordfence cookies are set only for our own team when we log in to manage the site.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to see which pages are visited, how people find us and which devices they use. We use this to improve the site. We do not use it for advertising and do not sell data to anyone.
Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Ltd. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. You can read more in Google’s privacy policy.
Other third-party services
- Google Fonts: Our fonts are loaded from Google’s servers. This does not set cookies, but your browser sends your IP address to Google when it downloads the fonts.
- Google tag (gtag.js): Used to load Google Analytics. We only load it after you accept analytics.
- Calendly: When you click “Book a call”, you go to calendly.com, which sets its own cookies under its own policy.
Your choices
When you first visit the site, we ask whether you accept analytics cookies. Google Analytics is not loaded until you accept. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page, or here:
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics. Blocking cookies will not stop the site from working.
